
Dwayne Douglas Johnson (born May 2, 1972), is a semi-retired professional wrestler turned actor. He was a professional wrestler in the WWE for about eight years before becoming a full-time actor in 2005. Dwayne Johnson is also known by his ring name The Rock.
In 1998, he won his first WWE (it was then known as the World Wrestling Federation – WWF) Championship. After that, he won several WWE championships. Considered to be one of the greatest and most popular professional wrestlers, he left WWE in 2004 to pursue his acting career.
Johnson made his first lead acting debut with The Scorpion King in the year 2002. He acted in numerous other films, including The Rundown, The Other Guys, Moana, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and The Fast and the Furious franchise movies. He is among the world’s highest-paid actors.
