A man is born alone and dies alone; And he experiences the good and bad consequences of his karma alone; And he goes alone to hell or the supreme abode.
Karma moves in two directions. If we act virtuously, the seed we plant will result in happiness. If we act non-virtuously, suffering results.
Karma says, if you focus on hurt, you will continue to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow.
I do believe in Karma. You will one day experience what you did to me.
I wanted revenge but God whispered…they’re already suffering.
Thoughts lead on to purposes; purposes go forth in action; actions form habits; habits decide character; and character fixes our destiny.
Karma is a universal law of cause and effect. You reap what you sow.
If Karma is a thing, then wouldn’t wanting someone to experience bad Karma also get you bad Karma?
My happiness is not the means to any end. It is the end. It is its own goal. It is its own purpose.
The purpose of morality is to teach you, not to suffer and die, but to enjoy yourself and live.
I worship individuals for their highest possibilities as individuals and I loathe humanity for its failure to live up to these possibilities.
The ladder of success is best climbed by stepping on the rungs of opportunity.
Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life, and that happiness, not pain or mindless self-indulgence, is the proof of your moral integrity, since it is the proof and the result of your loyalty to the achievement of your values.
It is too much to hope that I shall keep up my success. I don’t ask for that. All I shall do is my best – and hope.
The ‘Third World’ is a term I don’t like very much because we’re all one world. I want people to know that the largest part of humanity is suffering.
Success is like reaching an important birthday and finding you’re exactly the same.
On the one hand, maybe I’ve remained infantile, while on the other I matured quickly, because at a young age I was very aware of suffering and fear.
I probably hold the distinction of being one movie star who, by all laws of logic, should never have made it. At each stage of my career, I lacked the experience.
India has a consistent and well-known position on terrorism. We oppose all acts of terrorism, wherever they occur. We have repeatedly said that no cause can justify violence and destruction, particularly aimed at civilians.
We can come to look upon the deaths of our enemies with as much regret as we feel for those of our friends, namely, when we miss their existence as witnesses to our success.
